PATAGONIA

THE BILLBOARD YOU'LL NEVER GET TO SEE

PROBLEM

Patagonia have been spending too much money on adverts

and not enough money on nature.

INSIGHT

As an ethically responsible brand,

Patagonia has an obligation to give back to nature.

IDEA

Campaigning for nature.

We will use billboards in various locations

to reinvigorate nature around the world.

If there is no nature, there is no Patagonia.
Our campaign will be directed towards nature, not humans.
Our sole purpose is to do environmentally good,
that isn't meant for public consumption.
Rainforest Billboard in Tambopata Peru

The rainforest billboards will contribute to the canopy structure, which will help with the overall water cycle. Whilst also providing a regular food source for migrating animals and maintaining habitats for various species.

Underwater Billboard in Koh Toi Thailand

The underwater billboards will contain glass bottles, which will help restore damaged coral reefs creating sustainable 'houses' for marine life to grow.
Glass bottles will not only combat the islands littering problem, but also it is a material which is non toxic and conductive to coral growth.

Sahara Desert Billboard in the eastern region of Nubian

The Sahara billboards will contain a mirror material. Mirrors can be used as a material to reflect light which contains thermal waves. Most species within the Sahara desert find ways to cool off and stay in the shade, but find it difficult to find that cool spot.

The first material layer is reflective silver. On top of this are alternating layers of silicon dioxide and hafnium oxide. These layers improve the reflectivity.
